Terms of Service

Magpie is a shared household-finance app operated by Magpie Limited, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates ("Magpie", "we", "us"). These Terms govern your use of Magpie. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

Who can use Magpie

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login details secure.

What Magpie does

Magpie helps two people track and plan their money together. You enter your own financial information. Magpie does not connect to your bank and does not move money on your behalf.

Magpie is a budgeting and tracking tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Any decision you make based on what you see in the app is your own.

Subscriptions and billing

Magpie is offered as a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly. The price for your region is shown at checkout (for example, EUR 7.99 per month or EUR 79.99 per year). Your subscription is sold and billed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment, invoicing, and any applicable taxes, and Paddle's buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and your access continues until the end of the billing period you have paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Magpie for anything unlawful.
• Do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Do not use Magpie to store or share content you do not have the right to.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Magpie available and reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, add, or remove features over time, and we may update these Terms. If we make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Magpie is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for financial decisions you make using the app. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Nothing here removes the mandatory protections you have under the consumer laws of your country of residence.
